On April 28, Hutchison Ports Gdynia actively joined in the celebration of World Safety and Health Day. Our employees had a unique opportunity to participate in first aid exercises and demonstrations. The event began with a high-altitude rescue demonstration by the Polish Red Cross Special Rescue Group. This was followed by exercises conducted by the firefighters of the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Gdynia. Employees of the terminal, under the watchful eye of experts – had the opportunity to try their hand at extinguishing a burning vehicle and evacuating an injured person from its wreckage. The firefighters also presented their equipment, including an “all-terrain vehicle.” At the end, participants were able to watch a spectacular demonstration of police operations – a search with a service dog that ended with the capture of an intruder.
